Serra sees the PP demonstration as the "prelude to a failed investiture" that "the King should not have allowed"

MADRID, 24 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Podemos spokesperson, Isa Serra, has called the Popular Party's demonstration against a possible amnesty law "the prelude to a failed investiture" of its leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, which King Felipe VI "should not have allowed."

"There is no majority that supports Feijóo's investiture," Serra recalled in statements to the media before the start of a Podemos meeting with militants in the Fuencarral-El Pardo circle, in Madrid.

For the Podemos spokesperson, the investiture debate that will take place next Tuesday, September 26, is already a "failed investiture" promoted by a right "that does not respect democracy."

"He has been calling a Government decided by all citizens illegitimate for almost four years and now he is calling for transfuguism," he criticized, insisting that the right "does not respect the rules of the game of democracy."

Likewise, he stressed that this "has no project" for the situation that Spain is experiencing at the moment, in which it is necessary to "recognize plurinationality" and "continue advancing in social rights."

Regarding the amnesty law, Serra has indicated that for Podemos it is "fundamental" to advance on the "path of de-judicialization of the conflict in Catalonia" for which they consider it an "important step."
