Ricky Rubio's Cavaliers beat erratic Celtics in overtime

MADRID, 7 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio had little participation this morning in the victory (118-114) in overtime for his Cleveland Cavaliers over some erratic Boston Celtics at the end, after an extraordinary performance by Donovan Mitchell.

The man from Masnou barely enjoyed 7 minutes on the court to score 2 points, while he continues with his plan to reach the physical level and rhythm of the game prior to the injury. Donovan Mitchell was once again the leader in Cleveland thanks to his 40 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists, followed by his 'squire' Evan Mobley (25 points and 17 rebounds).

However, the star of the game was Grant Williams, when with the score tied at 109 and with 0.8 seconds to go, he missed his two free throws that would have prevented overtime. Nor could he give the victory to Boston Marcus Smart, who missed the offensive rebound, in a duel that the Cavaliers would win, fourth in the East, two places behind the Celtics.

RICKY RUBIO: 2 points.
