RFEF security requests to open a file on Manuel Vizcaíno

MADRID, 18 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The security director of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Alfredo Lorenzo, has asked the Competition Committee to open a disciplinary file against the president of the Cádiz Football Club, Manuel Vizcaíno, for his statements after the match against Elche Club Football in different radio media.

Vizcaíno denounced the arbitration error that cost his team two vital points in the fight for relegation and that the referee Del Cerro Grande recognized the Andalusian coach Sergio González after the match. Once again, the president of Cádiz demanded that the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, "fix the VAR".

Regarding its content and scope, the Club's legal services are already working to defend this petition, as well as to take any additional measures that may be appropriate in defense of the entity's interests, with the understanding that this is in the best interest of the Competition itself", says Cádiz upon learning of the decision of the RFEF security director.

On Tuesday, Cádiz confirmed that they proceeded to request the challenge of the match against Elche as a result of "an unfortunate and negligent performance" by the refereeing team and asked to resume it from minute 81, with 1-0 in their favor and with the goal of Ezequiel Ponce annulled. The VAR assistant referee at Cádiz-Elche, Ignacio Iglesias Villanueva, asked this Wednesday "apologies to Cádiz and his fans".
