HANGZHOU, China, April 28, 2023/PRNewswire/ -- Astronergy's production bases increased its n-type TOPCon manufacturing capacity by 28 GW on April 27, further improving the production capacity of The company's n-type TOPCon following the expansion of TOPCon module manufacturing capacity to 5 GW in early April this year.
On April 27, under the fourth phase of the Astronergy production base project, TOPCon 8GW n-type cell kits and TOPCon 12GW module kits were moved to one of the new workshops cells and two of the new module workshops. On the same day, the 8 GW TOPCon cell team arrived at the Astronergy Fengyang Manufacturing Base workshop and was ready to start testing.
Loading new TOPCon manufacturing capabilities into two manufacturing bases simultaneously, Astronergy's absolute confidence and strength in its TOPCon technology and TOPCon modules are evident.
TOPCon's capacity leap at the Haining manufacturing base, Astronergy's global headquarters and R&D center, brings the base to production capacities of more than 17 GW of PV cells and more than 24 GW of PV modules.
According to Haiyan Huang, Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Astronergy, the TOPCon 8GW cell kits and TOPCon 12GW module kits are expected to gradually run to full load 60 days later and the Haining base will meet its target of doubling the production capacity and production value before 2025.
The Fengyang manufacturing base, Astronergy's sixth, is located in China's Anhui province and focuses on the production of TOPCon cells. Shortly after the equipment is in place, the manufacturing base will see the deployment of the first TOPCon cell in late May and is expected to be running at full capacity in June.
As a pioneer of n-type TOPCon PV modules, Astronergy aims to make TOPCon modules one of its core products. Embedding new TOPCon capabilities in cells and modules is definitely a firm step to become the competitive supplier of PV modules all over the world.
