MADRID, 15 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

At the moment, the PP has signed coalition agreements with Vox at the municipal level in Toledo, Burgos, Elche (Alicante) and nine other municipalities where the 'populares' needed Santiago Abascal's party to stay with the Mayor's Office. In parallel, both formations continue to negotiate in Valladolid and Guadalajara, the other two provincial capitals where the PP needs the support of Vox.

In the last few hours, both formations have announced the governance pacts in Toledo and Burgos, leaving these agreements already closed for the constitution of the municipalities that will take place this Saturday, June 17.

The agreements in Toledo and Burgos are added to the agreement reached between PP and Vox this Tuesday in the city of Elche (Alicante). The rest of the municipalities in which both groups have already managed to close a governance pact are those of Maracena (Granada), Calvià, Alcudia and Marratxí (Mallorca), Burgo de Osma (Soria), Tineo (Asturias), Santa Cruz de Bezana (Cantabria), Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid) and Níjar (Almería).

And the other two provincial capitals in which PP needs the support of Vox to win the Mayor's Office are Valladolid and Guadalajara, where no agreement has yet been closed and both parties continue to negotiate for this Saturday, June 17. They are also needed in other large cities such as Talavera de la Reina (Toledo).

In Toledo, the agreement will allow the 'popular' Carlos Velázquez to become the next mayor of the city this Saturday, while Voz, which in this municipality is led by former deputy Inés Cañizares, ensures that it enters the local government.

In the case of Burgos, the agreement sealed between PP and Vox will allow the 'popular' Cristina Ayala to assume the mayoralty of the city, while the candidate of the Abascal formation, Fernando Martínez-Acítores, is the vice mayor.

As a consequence of this agreement, Vox will also assume the departments of Citizen Security, Districts and Digitization, Employment, Industry, Commerce, Consumption and Innovation, and Culture and Education.

PP and Vox have also reached a government pact in Níjar (Almería), by virtue of which the 'popular' candidate, José Francisco Garrido, will hold the mayoralty. The agreement allows the entry into the municipal government as the first deputy mayor of the 'number 1' of Vox, Pilar Fenoy, who assumes the powers of the Area of Tourism, Environment and Beaches.

In Níjar, PP and PSOE tied for councillors, achieving ten each, although the Socialists won in percentage of votes: 44.36 compared to 40.67 for the 'popular'. Vox was left as the third force, with a councilor and 7.20% of the support.

The City Council of Marratxí (Mallorca) will also have a 'popular' mayor, Jaume Llompart, thanks to the governance agreement reached with Vox. Thanks to the pact, the head of the Vox list, Pedro Bestard, will be the first deputy mayor. The PP has eight councilors (34.01% of the votes), the PSOE with seven (27.16%) and Vox with four (18%).

Vox and PP have also agreed on a coalition government in Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid). The 'popular' Juan Pedro Izquierdo will be the next mayor of the municipality and Vox will enter the local Executive with four councilors. The PP achieved eight councilors (33.33% of support) and Vox four (17.54%). Far from both was the PSOE, with two councilors and 8.71% of the votes.

And the pacts sealed this Wednesday are in Burgo de Osma (Soria), Tineo (Asturias) and Santa Cruz de Bezana (Cantabria). In the first municipality, the PSOE won the elections by a narrow margin, tying six councilors with the PP, although the 'popular' Antonio Pardo will be the mayor thanks to this agreement with Vox, which obtained a councilor.

In Tineo (Asturias), the agreement will allow the 'popular' Montserrat Fernández to be mayoress. Here, the PP obtained 34.15 percent of the votes and five councilors, and Vox 16.94 percent and two councilors. Meanwhile, the PSOE achieved five councilors and IU, one.

In Santa Cruz de Bezana (Cantabria), the pact will make Carmen Pérez, of the PP, mayor. In the municipal elections of May 28, the 'popular' were the most voted and obtained 7 councillors, although they needed a pact to reach an absolute majority.

And the rest of the municipalities in which the 'popular' formation and Vox have already managed to close an agreement are Calvià and Alcudia (Mallorca), although in the case of the latter town the pact also involves the local formation Unió. The other municipality is Maracena, in Granada, where PP, Vox and two other local parties reached a governance agreement.

In the case of the Murcian municipality of Molina de Segura, an agreement was announced, but it has been paralyzed due to "outside faults" to Vox, according to Santiago Abascal's party.

In another order of things, throughout this Thursday progress has also been made in other governance agreements of the PSOE and other local formations in provincial capitals that leave the 'popular' out of the Mayor's Office.

This is the case, for example, of Palencia, where the PSOE will stay with the Mayor's Office thanks to the abstention of the Vamos Palencia formation, ratifying its commitment to govern the list with the most votes.

Meanwhile, in Jaén, the PSOE candidate and current acting mayor, Julio Millán, has offered to vote for the Jaén candidate Deserves More (JM ), Manuel Carlos Vallejo, with the sole purpose of preventing the PP from ruling again in the Jaén capital.
