Podemos will carry out a consultation with its bases about Sánchez's investiture but not about the agreement between Sumar and PSOE

He emphasizes that they hope to be part of the Government and that their option is the continuity of Irene Montero in Equality

MADRID, 30 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Podemos will consult its members about support for the investiture of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, but will not focus on the coalition agreement between the Socialists and Sumar, emphasizing that they have not been part of it.

"We have not been part of the agreement between Sumar and the PSOE and, therefore, what we have to ask is about Sánchez's investiture, that is what we will ask those registered," the state co-spokesperson for the PSOE said at a press conference. party, Isa Serra.

Thus, and after pointing out that they will later give details of this consultative process to their bases, Serra has stressed that "all important decisions in Podemos are made by those registered" and that with Sánchez's investiture it cannot be otherwise.

Then, he stressed whether they are aware of the conversations between Sumar and PSOE about the future organizational chart of the Executive, he has indicated that they have "the same information" as in relation to the programmatic agreement, but that they hope to be present in the future coalition Executive.

Serra has elaborated that in this aspect they consider it essential that the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, remains in office and that the people who hold portfolios must be chosen by Podemos.

"I believe that it is a condition of basic democracy when an agreement is made and when actors or political parties are incorporated into a government agreement," he concluded.
