In statements to Radio Popular, collected by Europa Press, the candidate for the sovereign coalition has warned that all of this is "an issue that the extreme right in Spain permanently uses to hinder any political and social progress."

"From that point of view it seems quite strange to me that the Socialist Party has lent itself to this, when it is precisely the framework of the extreme right used to hinder and even neutralize or overthrow the government of Pedro Sánchez," he assured.

In his opinion, "when the polls are tight, all kinds of strategies must be enabled," but it is "an issue sensitive enough to be left out of the electoral context." "We must build bridges and not dig trenches," he concluded.

Furthermore, he has expressed satisfaction with the campaign carried out by EH Bildu in recent weeks, although he has regretted that there has been a tendency to take certain issues "to the mud", in reference to the debate that has arisen in recent days due to his statements regarding ETA. .
