Netanyahu warns that this is going to be a "long and difficult war" and "without respite"

MADRID, 8 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that his country has embarked "on a long and difficult war" and that they will continue "without respite until the objectives are achieved."

"We are embarking on a long and difficult war. The war was imposed on us by a murderous attack by Hamas," the president began writing in a publication on his social network account X, formerly Twitter.

He continued explaining that "the first phase ends in these hours destroying most of the enemy forces that have penetrated our territory."

"At the same time, we began the offensive formation and this will continue without reservation and without respite until we achieve the objectives. We will restore security to the citizens of Israel and we will win," he concluded.

The latest balance puts at least 300 victims in Israel and 232 victims in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Hamas ground and air offensive and Israeli reprisals. To them must be added the thousands of wounded and the dozens of Israelis captured by the Palestinian militias.
