Montero charges against PP for his vote against the pension reform and criticizes his "heading towards radicalism"

MADRID, 30 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, has charged against the Popular Party for its vote against the government pension reform decree law, whose validation debate is being held this Thursday in the Plenary Session of Congress.

For Montero, this vote against is one more reflection of the "route to radicalism" that the PP is showing, which adds to its position transferred this week on surrogacy, according to the minister. "We do not believe the change of course that the PP is experiencing, which is extraordinarily serious," lamented the minister at the press conference to present the budget execution data for the year 2022.

Montero has defended that the Executive has promoted a reform that allows pensions to be updated as the price of life increases, while making it sustainable in the medium term. In addition, he recalled that Brussels has given its endorsement of the reform, after confirming that the data is sustainable. "Questioning the ability of European technicians to analyze the data from Spain seems reckless to me", he has made the popular people ugly.

However, the person in charge of the Treasury has criticized the PP that "far from having moderated, its positions are increasingly "more incomprehensible", voting "against what benefits the social majority and defending the interests of a few", as energy, banking or pension funds.
