Mercenaries from the Wagner Group are already leading training sessions for members of the Belarusian Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has confirmed this Friday that the mercenaries of the Wagner Group are already leading the instruction of the Armed Forces in some training camps in the country.

"Recruits learn the skills of battlefield movement and tactical shooting, acquiring knowledge in engineering training and tactical medicine," the ministry's press service said.

At the beginning of the week, the Belarusian government confirmed that members of the Wagner Group would participate in training tasks for its Armed Forces, just a few weeks after the brief rebellion led by these mercenaries in Russia.

The announcement came after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko played a mediating role following the June 24 rebellion led by the group's leader Yevgeni Prigozhin, whose forces even advanced on the Russian capital.

However, hours later an agreement was reached that involved the withdrawal of the members of the Wagner Group with a view to their possible integration into the Army and the withdrawal of charges for those involved in the revolt.
