Mbappé: "The celebrations in Argentina are not my problem"

MADRID, 29 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The forward of Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe is clear that, despite it being something that he will "never" assume, he has already turned the page on the defeat in the World Cup final in Qatar and that he is not going to "waste energy" in commenting on the celebrations of the Argentine team because they are not his "problem", while he wanted Leo Messi to come back soon to help them.

"I don't think that (the defeat of the World Cup) will ever be digested, but as I told the coach and my teammates, there is no reason for my club to pay for a failure in the selection, PSG is not responsible for our defeat," he said. Mbappé after Wednesday's victory against Strasbourg in Ligue 1.

The international has tried to "return with the best possible energy and being as positive" as possible. "The message is simple, whatever happens with the national team, PSG is something else and now I am determined to bring all the trophies to the capital," he warned.

On Argentina's celebrations for the title, which in some cases had him as the 'protagonist', the Parisian avoided polemicizing. "Celebrations are not my problem, you don't have to waste energy on such useless things, the important thing for me is to give my best for the club," he concluded.

"I spoke with Leo after the game and I congratulated him because it was the search of his life, mine too, but I failed. We will wait for Leo to come back to win games and score goals again," Mbappé said about his relationship with the Argentine.
