Mazón warns the possible authors of the Montitxelvo fire: "If it is provoked, we will go after them"

The 'president' of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has asked to "wait for the end of the investigation" into the cause that could have caused the start of the forest fire in Montitxelvo (Valencia) - which has so far burned 2,500 hectares in a perimeter of 60 kilometers--, although he has considered that, if it is concluded that the fire has been set, the author has not been "an amateur or a hooligan", but "someone who knows about fire or some who know about this" .

"I would not be calm because we are going to go after them," the head of the Consell guaranteed in statements to the media late this Saturday from the Advanced Command Post (PMA).

In this sense, Mazón has indicated that the Government delegate, Pilar Bernabé, has informed them that the investigation "does not rule out that --the start of the fire-- is a provoked cause" and, in any case, has asked to "wait." for it to conclude.

Bernabé confirmed this Saturday that the Civil Guard is considering the human factor as the main hypothesis for the start of the fire. In fact, he has specified that the Benemérita has taken statements from several witnesses and is now trying to clarify whether it was an intentional or accidental cause.

However, Mazón has assured that, "of course", if it is determined and concluded that the fire has been set, "it was not an amateur or a hooligan", but rather it is "someone who knows about this, someone who knows about fire or some who know about this".
