Marc Marquez: "I've really attacked"

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) acknowledged that he "really" attacked this Friday in the free practice day of the Valencia Grand Prix, the last round of the World Championship, while he regretted not being 100% due to a cold .

"The day has been positive and today I really attacked, that's why I crashed twice. I pushed from the beginning because I want to have a good weekend in the last race of the year," he said in statements provided by his team, Collected by Europa Press.

The one from Cervera was the fourth fastest in the free practice, but he pointed out that he was not the only one to take a step forward. "Let's see what happens because everyone is quite strong here, it has already been seen in FP2 that many drivers have been able to take a step forward. Anyway, I will continue to work and push," he said.

"Maybe it will fall again, but I'm here to try to be as fast as possible. Unfortunately, this weekend I'm feeling pretty bad, with a cold, and I'm taking a lot of medicine to try to be as strong as possible on Sunday." .

On the other hand, also Repsol Honda, Pol Espargaró, eighteenth in free practice, was calm despite starting behind. "Our race pace today wasn't too bad; we spent most of the day working on the medium tire and before the attempts to break the times started we were seventh," he noted.

"I feel quite good, but today we have not focused on a fast lap, so we have to go all out in practice 3. It will not be easy, it is never easy in MotoGP, but the situation is not as serious as it seems in the timesheet. We have to smash that lap to get into Q2, that's the main target for tomorrow," he added.
