Luka Modric and Eduardo Camavinga, last contenders to sign the Champions-World Cup double

The Croatian Luka Modric and the Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga are already the only two Real Madrid players who aspire to achieve the Champions League-World Cup double in the same year, and thus join a small list of privileged ones who have achieved it.

The two midfielders are the only Real Madrid players still alive in the World Cup and they could even face each other in the final next Sunday if their respective teams beat Argentina and Morocco in the semifinals.

In this way, one of the two will be able to add his name to the other four Real Madrid players who have achieved this achievement since Frenchman Christian Karembeu won the title with France in 1998, months after also raising the 'Seventh' with the white team.

In Korea and Japan 2002, it was the Brazilian full-back Roberto Carlos who achieved this feat with Brazil, after achieving his second 'Orejona', and the midfielder Sami Khedira repeated the success in 2014 as a player for Real Madrid and the German team.
