"The Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team is pleased to confirm that Lance Stroll will contest this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix," the team announced in a statement.

With the recovery of Lance Stroll, both Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne will remain in Bahrain as reserve drivers for the British team for this weekend, in which the Spanish Fernando Alonso will debut at the wheel of the Aston Martin.

"It was frustrating not to be in Bahrain for pre-season testing. However, given the injury to my wrist, the team and I thought it was best to focus on recovery to be ready for this weekend and the long season ahead. ahead", acknowledged Stroll in statements provided by the team.
