MADRID, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The European Lyceum Foundation has organized for next Saturday, May 6, the III edition of the Solidarity Race for the flowers of Haiti, in favor of the Flores de Kiskeya association, in order to help vulnerable women and children.
To carry out this work, the association has four programs that revolve around nutrition, health, education and empowerment.
The test will take place from 09:00 am and will take place through the streets of La Moraleja (Alcobendas, Madrid), starting and finishing at the Colegio Liceo Europeo (c/ Camino del Sur 10). Several modalities have been proposed, with distances of 5 and 10 kilometers, and children's races (from 5 years old), which will range from 400 meters to one kilometer. These tests are always open to runners with reduced mobility or a disability.
The funds raised will be used to build their own space that includes a mother-child center with the dimensions and structures necessary to continue supporting the most vulnerable in Anse-à-Pitres, which will have several education classrooms, orchards, sports area and common spaces for the development of workshops.
"Education in values is part of our DNA. For this reason, the entire Liceo educational community regularly participates in this type of activity that manages to raise awareness and bring our students and friends closer to other realities," said the director of the European Lyceum, Gonzalo Inclan.
