Juan Carlos I docks at the Sanxenxo marina after more than two hours of sailing aboard the Bribón

SANXENXO (PONTEVEDRA), 20 Apr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Juan Carlos I has docked this Thursday at the Sanxenxo marina (Pontevedra) after more than two hours of sailing aboard the Bribón, navigation that has served as training for the Copa del Rey de Vela to be held in the municipality of Pontevedra.

Around 2:45 p.m., the former monarch's boat entered the marina towed by an auxiliary. Some onlookers have applauded him and, to the questions that the journalists asked him from the jetty, Juan Carlos I has limited himself to waving.

From the pier, after 3:00 p.m., he went directly by car to the house of his personal friend and also a sailor, Pedro Campos, with whom he was staying during his stay in Sanxenxo. He has not stopped at the Club Náutico, which he has not yet visited since he arrived in Galicia.

This is how the king emeritus completed his first day of preparation for the weekend's regattas, a navigation of just over two and a half hours that has meant his first contact with the Bribón for eleven months.
