Irene Montero believes that Feijóo wants to "discipline" feminism by proposing to eliminate the Ministry of Equality

MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister for Equality, Irene Montero, has indicated that the intentions of the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to eliminate the Ministry of Equality if he wins the elections on July 23, are "an attempt to discipline" the feminist movement.

Through his social networks, Montero has rejected these words from Feijóo, as well as his desire, as he expressed in the same interview, to repeal the Trans Law if it reaches Moncloa.

"Feijóo says that he will repeal the Trans Law and eliminate the Ministry of Equality. It is not just a reaction to the coalition government, it is a new attempt to discipline the feminist and LGTBI movement that is at the forefront of advancing rights around the world" , has published on his Twitter account.

In the same message he has also answered those who, as he has indicated, say that the Ministry of Equality has gone "too far". "We must remind them that we and those who came before us have been waiting and fighting for too long, and this has only just begun," she assured. In his opinion, "Human Rights are never too much."
