Guardiola (PP) postpones its Board of Directors and underlines the "essential respect" and "dialogue" with Vox to form a government

His campaign adviser resigns to appease information about his participation in the negotiation with those of Santiago Abascal

MÉRIDA, June 26 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the PP of Extremadura, María Guardiola, has postponed until a new date the Autonomous Board of Directors and the Regional Executive Committee convened for this Tuesday to address the situation after the failed negotiations with Vox evidenced in the constitutive session of the Assembly in which the PSOE took over its Presidency.

The 'popular' leader is also convinced that the "march as a government to change" Extremadura will begin "soon", and acknowledges that for this to happen "respect, dialogue and programmatic agreement" with Vox, with whom she shares the "priority" of "turning the page to socialist policies".

This is how Guardiola collects it in a letter addressed to his militants last Sunday night, collected by Europa Press, in which he insists that he intends to "enforce respect" for his voters and for the project built together with them, with whom he He has formed a "government program with 861 measures" that has granted him 28 deputies and almost 39% of the votes in the last elections on May 28.

Some "extraordinary results", he points out, not only in the regional elections, but also in the municipal ones, which "allows us to articulate a parliamentary majority" to make possible the change in the Government of the Junta de Extremadura.

A transformation that would serve to "leave behind the disastrous socialist stage led by Guillermo Fernández Vara, in which abandonment, neglect and apathy have been the dominant notes."

In the letter, he warns that after the regional elections, Spain returns to the polls on July 23, where the Spanish are at stake for "the future of the country", and where it is necessary to "repeat and even improve this extraordinary result".

Guardiola points out that Extremadura is "determinant to achieve the objective" of taking Alberto Núñez Feijóo to Moncloa, and that "nothing and nobody" must divert the 'popular' from this goal, because "it is the most immediate challenge" that they must face.

For this reason, and to "avoid malicious interpretations or distractions" that lead them astray, it has decided to postpone the Regional Board of Directors and the Regional Executive Committee convened for this Tuesday until a new date that will be communicated in due course.

Guardiola argues that in the last few days the postelectoral situation in Extremadura and his party are being used to "try to influence the national campaign", a "presión" is "unfairly transferring to the PP as a whole".

"We do not want our affiliates' meetings to be used to harm the organization, nor to divert attention from what is important," adds the "popular" leader, who considers that "what is responsible and appropriate is to put the interest of our country first and avoid any tension".

In any case, he insists that Extremadura "spoke at the polls, and the regional PP is going to continue working on a dialogue" that will allow him "to soon have a government alternative to put an end to the socialist cycle."

"We are facing a historic opportunity and no one is going to take us away from our goal. To reach the destination, one step must always follow another, and they must be taken in the right order so that the journey is completed successfully," Guardiola explains, which argues that "each step is decisive" and the Popular Party has a "double objective" that it will not "renounce", it points out, such as "forming the best government for Extremadura and for Spain".

On the other hand, this postponement of the Board of Directors and the attempt to redirect the dialogue with Vox, coincides in time with the end of the professional relationship with who has been his campaign advisor.

In this case, through a statement on social networks, collected by Europa Press, the firm Rebelious Words points directly as the reason for the publication "in a disgusting exercise in dishonesty" of an audio from its CEO, Santiago Martínez-Vares, from a "private" conversation that he situates on the "strictly personal" level.

With his resignation, he intends to prevent those who "want to harm" Guardiola from achieving their objective, while explaining that his collaboration with the "popular" candidate has been limited to advising on strategic communication and "at no time", he assures, has participated in the negotiations to reach a parliamentary majority.

Thus, to prevent the figure of Guardiola from being harmed and "for the good of Extremadura", he considers the professional relationship with her "voluntarily terminated", to whom he wishes "the best of luck" in his political, professional and professional life. personal, and whom she defines as an "intelligent, prepared, upright, honest woman with firm and enviable principles", which she shares and admires, she assures.
