MADRID, 17 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The Spanish power forward Usman Garuba played his best game of the 2022-2023 NBA season this Wednesday in the victory (92-101) of the Houston Rockets against the Dallas Mavericks without his former teammate Luka Doncic, while Juancho Hernangómez enjoyed many minutes in the Toronto Raptors' victory against the Miami Heat (112-104), as did Serge Ibaka with the Milwaukee Bucks against the Cleveland Cavaliers (113-98).
The Rockets, the worst team in the Western Conference, were happy and broke a streak of three straight losses to add their third win of the season in a Texan duel that they took in the last quarter where they left the locals in 18 points and where Garuba had a prominent role.
The man from Azuqueca de Henares continues to enjoy minutes and this time he exceeded twenty on the court, which he took advantage of above all to demonstrate his defensive conditions, but also with an offensive game that made him border on the 'double-double'.
Garuba contributed 12 points and also did so without missing any of his five shots, with 2/2 in triple shots, while in his zone he was devastating, with eight of his nine rebounds on defense, and three blocks placed. His brilliant statistics were completed with three assists and no turnovers.
The power forward was unable to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Doncic, who is still injured, but with Argentine point guard Facundo Campazzo, who did not have much offensive impact (3 points), although he showed his ability as a 'thief' with three robberies.
On the other hand, the Hernangómez brothers lived a different night. Juancho continues to count in the Toronto Raptors' rotation, although he could not score any points and grabbed four rebounds in almost 24 minutes on the field in the 112-104 win, while 'Willy' had a testimonial presence and no impact on the statistics in the 124-110 victory of the New Orleans Pelicans against the Chicago Bulls.
Finally, the Spanish-Congolese center Serge Ibaka also had a good participation in the victory of the Milwaukee Bucks against the Cleveland Cavaliers by 113-98 and in more than 18 minutes he signed eight points and four rebounds.
USMAN GARUBA: 12 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists.
SERGE IBAKA: 9 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
JUANCHO HERNANGÓMEZ: 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
