Feijóo will begin a round of meetings with businessmen and social agents on Monday with Garamendi

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will begin a series of meetings next week with the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, and the general secretaries of the UGT, Pepe Álvarez, and the CCOO, Unai Sordo, within the framework of the round of contacts prior to the holding of the investiture debate on September 26 and 27 in the Congress of Deputies.

Feijóo's first meeting will be on Monday with Garamendi and starting Tuesday he will meet with Álvarez and Sordo, PP sources reported.

Feijóo's idea with these meetings is to present the general lines of his program at a time that he considers "especially difficult" for the economic and social situation of the country due to a series of problems that citizens "suffer daily," the party explains.

In the opinion of the PP, the acting Executive "dedicates itself exclusively to a minority debate that leads to nothing, only to remain clinging to the Moncloa."

For this reason, the leader of the PP will convey to businessmen and unions the "obvious risks" and the "fracture of Spanish society" that an amnesty would entail, as well as a self-determination referendum, just as the pro-independence forces intend.

This round of meetings will take place days after this Friday the acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, met with Garamendi at an event at the CEOE headquarters to present the strategic proposal of the Spanish Presidency of the EU to strengthen security economic and global leadership of the EU in this decade.
