'Génova' advances that the PP will act by "land, sea and air" against this norm and will speak with different sectors and establishments

MADRID, 13 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will meet this Tuesday with more than thirty foreign correspondents to explain to them first-hand the "concern" of the Popular Party with the Amnesty Law and the pacts that the PSOE has signed with the independentistas to ensure the investiture of the socialist candidate Pedro Sánchez, as 'popular' sources have indicated to Europa Press.

Since Feijóo became the Presidency of the PP in April 2022, he has held several meetings with journalists from other countries to exchange impressions about the political situation, but in this case the leader of the PP wants to speak with them personally about what the political context is. once the norm has been registered in Congress and in two days the investiture debate is held in the Plenary Session of the Lower House.

"We are going to internationalize the response to what is happening," sources close to Feijóo have assured Europa Press, who have also recalled that this Monday the European People's Party (EPP) has asked that it be included in the agenda of the plenary session of the European Parliament next week a debate on the risk to the rule of law in Spain as a consequence of the amnesty law agreed by the PSOE with Junts and ERC.

Two days after the massive protests in all the provincial capitals of Spain that the PP called on Sunday, Feijóo wants to speak with all sectors to explain the position of his party, given that it will act by "land, sea and air" against the Amnesty Law.

"There will be no class left untouched in this political action. And also at the international level," have indicated sources close to Feijóo, who have indicated that the leader of the PP will be accompanied in the meeting with the correspondents by the Deputy Secretary of Institutional Affairs of the PP. , Esteban González Pons.

The PP considers that the political situation in Spain is "serious", once the literal nature of the Amnesty Law has been known. According to them, if it was already "serious" that it was approved to "make corruption cheaper" by reducing the crime of embezzlement, the fact that these crimes are amnestied "may put tension on the European Union," the same sources added.

For now, the PP has recalled that the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, has already admitted this Monday his "concern" about the agreements reached by the PSOE and the independentists.

The 'popular' want to be a "dam" against the amnesty and lead the action in all areas, on the street, in Europe and in the Spanish Parliament, although they admit that in Congress, unlike what happens in the Senate, have "limited numerical capacity to act."
