Feijóo mobilizes the PP this Tuesday to broaden the result of 28M in general and complete the "repeal of sanchismo"

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will call on the PP this Tuesday not to lower its guard and work to expand the results of the regional and municipal elections this Sunday in the general elections on July 23 with the aim of completing the "repeal of the sanchismo". In addition, he will give prominence to his 'barons' and candidates after the victory of the PP this Sunday and having "swept" the PSOE in many squares, according to "popular" sources.

Feijóo has convened a meeting of the National Board of Directors of the PP at 12:00 p.m., the highest party body that brings together more than 400 positions including members of the Management Committee, territorial barons and more party positions. During this meeting at the national headquarters, the leader of the PP will make an intervention open to the media.

PP sources acknowledge that this meeting, scheduled to analyze the electoral results of May 28, will ultimately have as a backdrop the early call for general elections, a calendar that forces them to turn from now on to the preparation of the new campaign and on the electoral lists.

The electoral advance has caught many PP leaders on the wrong foot. Sources close to Feijóo consider that with this step Sánchez is looking for "not to be devoured by his territorial barons" after the poor results of the PSOE on Sunday and that "no talk of the beating" of the PP to the Socialists this May 28.

"Sánchez holds the revolt and keeps the ranks tight within the PSOE", consider 'popular' sources, who regret that in the end this electoral advance does not allow them to "savor" victory at the meeting of the Board of Directors.

However, Feijóo will take advantage of his speech to give prominence to the results of his candidates, who have "swept" the PSOE in many squares, according to 'popular' sources stressed to Europa Press. As they add, in nine autonomies they have surpassed "sanchismo" and in 31 provinces and as many provincial capitals as well.

In addition, Feijóo will seek the mobilization of his people this Tuesday, in line with his message this Monday after the meeting of the PP steering committee. "I congratulate my party for an exceptional result and I call on it to work to confirm and expand it in the general elections," he said.

In this intervention, the leader of the PP has asked the citizens "an opportunity" to get to the Palacio de la Moncloa. "A little over a year ago I obtained the confidence of my party to be president of it. Today I ask for the confidence of the citizens to be the next president of the Government of Spain", he stated.

The PP needs Vox in several autonomies and it is one of the issues on which the leadership of the PP will have to pronounce. This Monday Santiago Abascal has extended his hand to the Popular Party to reach agreements.

However, PP sources admit that they are not involved in this now and that it is not an issue that they are in a hurry. For now, Feijóo has assured that the national PP will be "respectful" of the powers of the territories to negotiate with Vox.

"We are therefore going to be respectful of each one's powers and we are going to be respectful of the reality that emerges from the polls," declared Feijóo, who this Monday launched the slogan 'A Spain prepared' before the campaign of the generals.
