Feijóo extends his investiture contacts to regional presidents of the PP to learn about their proposals

MADRID, 19 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has extended his contacts before the investiture to regional presidents of the PP in order to collect their proposals and suggestions for the debate that will be held in Congress on the 26th and September 27th. For now, it has already emerged that he has spoken with the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, and the president of Cantabria, María José Sáenz de Buruaga.

Feijóo has intensified his investiture contacts this week, since these days he is holding interviews with social agents. Thus, on Monday he met with the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, this Tuesday he met with the general secretary of UGT, Pepe Álvarez, and on Wednesday he will meet with the general secretary of CC.OO., Unai Sordo .

In previous weeks, he has also held meetings with the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal; the president of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo; and the president of the Navarro People's Union (UPN), Javier Esparza. These are the three formations that will support his investiture and with which he has 172 seats, with four votes missing for the absolute majority.

At the same time, Feijóo wants to know the opinion of his territorial 'barons' and has also begun to chat with them. Thus, this Tuesday he spoke with the Andalusian Juanma Moreno, who asked him to make commitments in terms of carrying out hydraulic works and for the reform of the regional financing system.

In that telephone conversation, Moreno told Feijóo that Andalusia "needs a Spanish Government to carry out the pending hydraulic works, promote the railway map and change a financing system that causes Andalusians to lose billions every year." "Alberto listens to us and believes in Andalusia," according to the president of the Board.

This statement by Moreno has received a response from Feijóo, who has appreciated that the president of the Board has conveyed the demands of Andalusia to him. "He knows that he has my commitment to develop a National Water Pact with autonomous communities and affected sectors," added the PP candidate.

There has also been contact with the president of Cantabria, who has told her that her region "needs a Spanish Government that breaks its isolation; protects the rancher from the wolf, and guarantees a financing model that allows us to provide quality services ". "Thank you Feijóo for listening to what we have to say. Cantabria counts!" He stated in a message on the social network 'X', formerly Twitter.

In the coming days, the president of the 'popular' will hold more conversations with territorial 'barons' of his party, whom he will also have the opportunity to see next Sunday on the occasion of the act against the amnesty that the PP has organized in Madrid, in which the former presidents José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy will also intervene.
