He warns Sánchez that he has no alternative to agree and highlights his influence so that he listens to Zapatero and not Page
The ERC spokesperson in Congress, Gabriel Rufián, has claimed this Wednesday the ability of his party to "force" the PSOE candidate for the investiture, Pedro Sánchez, to call a referendum in Catalonia. He, in turn, has warned him that he will need his group to stay in the Government: "Don't risk it."
During his speech at the investiture session this Wednesday, Rufián addressed Sánchez to take advantage of ERC's ability to force him to comply with part of its conditions, such as the amnesty, although he insisted on the referendum.
"We here today have the capacity to force him, to force him to end the repression today and to force him, perhaps, to vote in a referendum tomorrow," proclaimed Rufián, who has continued to value his ability "to force him to leave paralysis."
Likewise, the ERC leader has warned Sánchez that he will need his party to remain in La Moncloa, alluding to the fact that he will no longer be able to agree with Ciudadanos. "Do you see Albert Rivera here? Do you see Inés Arrimadas here? Do you see them? No, right? Don't take any chances," he warned her.
In that same sense, it has assumed the ability to make the PSOE take one direction or another and approach a certain sector within the PSOE itself. Specifically, he has pointed out that the difference in whether Sánchez approaches the president of Castilla La Mancha, Emiliano García Page or the former president of the Government José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero "depends on the strength we have to force him to listen to the second and not the first." , he has indicated.
On the other hand, Rufián wanted to make it clear that Sánchez is not president of the Government thanks to the support of ERC and Junts but because he has PP and Vox in front of him because all the parties that support him have in common preventing these parties from reaching the Presidency. In his opinion, this circumstance does not speak very well of the leader of the PSOE "but it is the truth."
In this sense, addressing the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has pointed out that the only thing that the voters of the PSOE, Sumar, ERC, Junts, Bildu, PNV and BNG share - all the parties that will carry out Sánchez's investiture and that They support the amnesty law-- it is "stopping" PP and Vox.
"Stop to the right of Bar and to the right of 'after', which is not there because perhaps it is too late," he said in reference to those from Santiago Abascal who left the chamber in the middle of the afternoon after the first intervention of their leader.
WARN JUNTS THAT THE PSOE WILL TRY TO DECEIVE THEM
On the other hand, Rufián has addressed the seven Junts deputies and has questioned whether they have reached a "historic" agreement as defended by the party of the former Catalan president, Carles Puigdemont.
Thus, he has indicated that the post-convergents have obtained a commission of inquiry into the judicial war, in reference to the mention of 'lawfare' that the PSOE agreed to include in the agreement with Junts. "I like that because I already have four investigative commissions," she noted.
He has also pointed out that they have achieved that the PSOE has recognized the existence of a political conflict in Catalonia. "Well, congratulations, welcome," he indicated, emphasizing that ERC had already achieved this before in its relationship with the PSOE.
Now that Junts has agreed to negotiate with the PSOE, it has warned them that the socialists will try to deceive them -- "they will, they will try," he assured. However, Rufián has promised not to blame them when this happens.
"I will always say that it is who's fault it is, the PSOE, I will help them to ensure that this does not happen, because I can assure you that compliance with the agreements will be much more complicated than making a tweet," added Rufián, reproaching Junts' attitude. in the last legislature, when he criticized that ERC negotiated with the PSOE.
