Enaire will present a virtual reality training simulator for air traffic controllers

The event focuses on air and space traffic management, civil-military cooperation and drone operations

MADRID, 25 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Spanish air navigation manager Enaire will present its most innovative screens and simulators this week during the international congress Airspace Integration Week, an event that will turn Madrid into the capital of the world in terms of air and space navigation, as well as drones, from the 25th. to September 28.

The Secretary of State for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and president of Enaire, David Lucas, will be in charge of opening this congress in which the air navigation manager will present a virtual reality training simulator for air traffic controllers, as well as various screens with new functionalities.

The aerospace event, which has the participation of 62 companies from around the world, will focus on air and space traffic management, civil-military cooperation and drone operations. It also includes high-level exhibitions and presentations at the Madrid-Cuatro Vientos Airport.

Enaire professionals will participate in the congress with various conferences on air navigation systems, artificial intelligence, satellite navigation, U-space, civil-military coordination and urban air mobility.

This event, organized by the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA), seeks to position Spain as a global reference for the air navigation industry.

Airspace Integration Week 2023 has three essential areas for the future of the global air transport sector: current and future air traffic management (ATM), drone operations management (U-Space) and space traffic management ( STM), all of this, according to the promotion and specific space for civil-military coordination.

For this reason, Airspace Integration Week will integrate three events. Airspace Integration Congress (from Monday, September 25 to Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Ifema), the Expodrónica Air Show (Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome with conferences and exhibitions) and the World Space Summit (Monday, 25 to Thursday, 28 September 2023 at Ifema and the Madrid-Cuatro Vientos airport with high-level conferences and presentations).

Until now there are a total of 62 confirmed companies. Of them, 30 exhibiting companies with a stand and 32 sponsors (without a stand).

They stand out in Spain, apart from the own Enaire, Ineco, and Senasa, ISDEFE, Indra, GMV, ALTER, UPM, Institute of Technology of Galicia (ITG), as well as, of international character, the EAD Group, ESSP, EUSPA, PILDO Labs and Boeing, among others.

According to Enaire, the congress hopes to turn Madrid into a world reference for the aeronautical sector, "assuming, in addition to the promotion of the city of Madrid and the Spain brand, a substantial economic benefit for the rest of the sectors that support this type of events".
