DANA: Aemet withdraws the orange alerts from the center of the peninsula and goes to a yellow level due to rain and wind

MADRID, 4 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has withdrawn this midnight the red and orange alerts that were active in the center of the peninsula, although it maintains the yellow warning for rain and wind for this Monday with the sole exception of the northwest of the island of Mallorca, which maintains the orange alert for wind, as reported by the agency on its website.

Specifically, the situation goes to yellow level in the Community of Madrid, Toledo and Ávila, mainly. It also does so on the coast of the Valencian Community, on the Catalan coast, Lleida, Alto Ebro and the Balearic Islands.

The isolated depression at high levels (DANA) put a red alert this Sunday in the Community of Madrid and La Mancha in Toledo due to heavy rains and storms, but throughout Sunday afternoon the red alert was reduced to orange in the Community to exception of the southern zone, where it remained active until the end of the night.
