Borràs affirms that Junts works to protect the amnesty from "interference by the judiciary"

He assures that the "behaviors of the State sewers" are public enemy number one of Spain, and not Puigdemont

IGUALADA (BARCELONA), January 28. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Junts, Laura Borràs, stated this Sunday that since its formation they have been working to protect the amnesty law from "interference by the judiciary, which is not a suspicion, it is a reality."

He has said that one of Junts' objectives is for the amnesty "to be a reality, to be accessible to everyone who has suffered this repression and for it to be immediately applied", in statements to journalists in Igualada (Barcelona).

Borràs has assured that these interferences and the fact that, according to her, there is no separation of powers in Spain causes Spanish democracy to be "frankly weak."

"What weakens it is this institutionalized dirty game in which everything is aligned, from the top of the judicial powers to the sewers of the State," he added in reference to 'Operation Catalunya'.

The president of Junts has criticized the fact that the former president of the Generalitat and Junts MEP, Carles Puigdemont, is designated as "the number one public enemy of the Spanish State, and the number one public enemy of Spanish democracy are these behaviors of the sewers of the accompanied by the interference of the judicial power".

When asked about the statements of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in which he assures that including Junts or ERC in the governance of Spain strengthens democracy, Borràs has rejected that Junts' intention is to participate in "the governance of the Spanish State ".

"We have a project for the independence of our country. Therefore, what we have done is not to provide any governability, any stability, but to manage some votes to achieve our political project," he added.

In the framework of the conversations with the socialists, Borràs has highlighted that Junts intend "not to be partners of the PSOE, not to be allies of the PSOE", but to achieve their own interests through the seven votes that the party has in Congress.
