More than 50 people have died, mostly children, in an attack on a school located in Gaza City, according to Palestinian sources, who have taken stock after recovering for hours the bodies of the victims who have been buried under the rubble. .
The bombing, attributed to Israeli forces, has caused serious damage to the Al Buraq school, according to the WAFA news agency, which reported missile and artillery attacks during the night from Thursday to Friday.
The authorities of the Gaza Strip and international organizations have reported recurrent attacks against schools and hospitals, despite the fact that these facilities are protected by International Law. Israel has justified some of these actions as being bastions of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which it has accused of using civilians as human shields.
Since the start of the offensive on October 7, more than 11,000 people have lost their lives in attacks on the Gaza Strip, according to the local Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas. Among these victims there are at least 4,500 children.
