The actress Concha Velasco died this Saturday at the age of 84 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda (Madrid), her sons, Manuel and Paco Martínez, have confirmed.

"We regret to inform that our mother, Concha Velasco, died today, Saturday the 2nd at 02:00 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda, having received the Holy Sacraments, as a result of a complication in her illness," the family reported. it's a statement.

Velasco suffered lymphatic cancer in 2014, and after the pandemic she herself acknowledged that her condition had worsened. It was in March 2022 when her son Manuel de ella announced to the media that her mother was admitted to a residence so that she would be cared for 24 hours a day.

"We have nothing but words of gratitude for the hospital staff, and the Santa Matilde and Orpea Punta Galea residences who have taken such good care of her in these difficult times," they say.

Her children say they are "lucky to have enjoyed the best mother in the world and to receive the affection of so many Spaniards who love and admire her" and they thank everyone.

The actress's burning chapel will be installed from 1:30 p.m. at the Teatro La Latina in Madrid.

Concha Velasco Verona was born in Valladolid on November 29, 1939. The actress spent her childhood in Larache (Morocco) where she began her studies in Spanish dance.
