MADRID, 18 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has conveyed to the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, his concern about the situation that Spain is going through in the face of the upcoming amnesty for those accused in the Catalan independence process and has analyzed with the leader of Fratelli d' Italy the strategies of their respective parties before the European elections scheduled for June 2024.
During the meeting, which took place in Rome, Abascal warned Meloni of the "serious risk" to the rule of law that, in his opinion, the agreements by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to be invested, as well as of the political and social consequences that the amnesty foresees will cause.
In this way, the president of Vox continues with his purpose of explaining in all the forums to which he has access the irregularity of Sánchez's investiture.
The European elections were another of the topics discussed at the meeting, which both Abascal and Meloni reported on through their 'X' social network accounts. Both have spoken about the future they desire for the EU and the electoral prospects of the Party of European Conservatives and Reformists chaired by Meloni and of which the leader of Vox, Jorge Buxadé, is vice president.
