Ukraine raises the number of children killed since the beginning of the Russian invasion to more than 430

The Ukrainian authorities have raised this Tuesday to more than 430 the number of children killed since the beginning of the Russian invasion, unleashed on February 24 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office has indicated in a statement that so far it has been able to verify the death of 431 children, before adding that 834 have been injured "as a result of large-scale armed aggression by Russia.

"The figures are not final, as there is work underway to establish them in the places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied territories and in the liberated territories," he said in a message on his Telegram account.

Thus, he said Donetsk province accumulated the highest number of casualties, with 422 between dead and wounded. Lastly, he noted that 2,719 educational institutions have suffered material damage due to attacks by Russian forces, of which a total of 332 have been "completely destroyed", while providing a website and two numbers to "provide information on war crimes against children.

"'Children of War' (Children of War) is a platform where they can report and find all the information about children who have suffered because of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine," the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office has riveted.
