Bill Gates is leaving Microsoft's board of directors

Bill Gates co-founded the it giant Microsoft in 1975 along with his friend Paul Allen, who passed away in the year 2018. By the time he has to devote more time to the foundation he and his wife, Melinda, have built up, and the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, writes CNBC.

Bill Gates, in a post on Linkedin that he is leaving the board of directors of Microsoft, as well as the holding company, Berkshire Hathaway, is the world's 26th largest private company in the world, according to Forbes.

”I will leave the board of directors, it does not mean in any way that I am leaving the company,” writes Gates.
