The president of the ERC, Oriol Junqueras, and the former ministers Raül Romeva and Dolors Bassa have filed lawsuits before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against Spain for their convictions for 1-O.
Junqueras, Bassa and Romeva explained it at a press conference this Wednesday, accompanied by the lawyers Andreu Van den Eynde and Clara Serra, and also by the ERC General Secretary, Marta Rovira, in a videoconference from Switzerland.
The defenses of the republican leaders frame their demands in the "political persecution against the independence movement".
