He calls the position of the Madrid vice president "reprehensible", who makes a "flag" of receiving help he does not need

MADRID, 17 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The deputy of United We Can in the Congress Juantxo López de Uralde has said that it is criticizable that the family of the leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, receives the thermal social bonus, although she concedes that she at least has the dignity to recognize the situation, when asking for forgiveness, in the face of the attitude of the Madrid vice president, Enrique Ossorio (PP).

"In politics you have to be consistent, you cannot ask others for what you do not apply to yourself," he pointed out in an interview with Europa Press regarding how he saw that García had requested the resignation of this PP position.

The coordinator of Alianza Verde, the ecological party of Unidas Podemos, has stressed that these public aid must be designed for the most disadvantaged families and, consequently, they should not be "charged" by those who do not need them. An "evidence" that has to be taken into account especially when holding public responsibilities.

However, the deputy of the confederal group has distinguished the case of the leader of Más Madrid with respect to that of Ossorio, given that "at least Mónica García recognizes the situation and seeks a way out", which "seems much more dignified", in allusion to his apologies to public opinion and expressing his willingness to return the amount received by his family.

Meanwhile, he has confronted that the position of the vice president of the Community of Madrid is "frankly reprehensible", since it is already "enough bloody" that public money is being put into some aid that families with high purchasing power are using, as well as to do " flag" of it. "He defines himself with his words", he has settled.

On the other hand, he has affirmed that the announcement to reform this energy social bonus to condition it to income levels is "common sense", since public resources cannot be used to give aid to families that do not need it, especially when in Spain there are levels of energy poverty that are "worrying".

In this way, Uralde shares the idea advanced by the Vice President and Minister of Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, because it is something that they have been demanding for a long time. They even transferred a certain discrepancy with the discount of 20 cents on fuel, since later reports reveal that they benefited the highest incomes, something that cannot be allowed.

Likewise, he has recognized that he would like the minister to consult and work on the changes with United We Can, since when this has happened the most effective measures have been achieved, such as the cap on the price of gas.

Precisely, Podemos has asked the socialist wing to also include the prohibition of cutting supplies to vulnerable families, expand the number of recipients and simplify the administrative process.

He has also recalled that when they launched that option there was first a "furious" opposition from the PSOE, and in particular from Ribera, but then that limitation was applied and effective. In fact, he has ironized that they have become accustomed to their partner reacting "very vehemently" to their initiatives and then putting on "medals" when they are applied.

Regarding the 28M elections, the coordinator of Alianza Verde has indicated that he does not understand the refusal of Más Madrid to converge with other forces such as Podemos, IU or his formation and that he would have liked a single candidacy, given that what is needed in this moment is "add up" to avoid governments of the "right and extreme right".
