Mossos d'Esquadra agents from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of Tarragona investigate "the violent death" of a worker at the Mas d'Enric penitentiary center in the town of El Catllar (Tarragona).
As reported by the Catalan police in a statement, the events occurred around 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday when, for unknown reasons, "an inmate attacked a prison worker and caused her death" and subsequently committed suicide.
Agents from the DIC of Tarragona have taken charge of the investigation, which is under secrecy of the proceedings, to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
