MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -
CP Cacereño-Real Madrid, CF Intercity-FC Barcelona and Oviedo-Atlético de Madrid are some of the most outstanding pairings of the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey that has resulted in the draw held at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The K.O tournament is now open for the only four teams that had not yet entered the fray, due to their presence in the Super Cup in mid-January, which are Real Madrid, Barça, Valencia and Betis. The whites will face Cacereño, from the Second RFEF, while the current champion, the Verdiblanco team, will face off against Ibiza Islas Pitiusas, also from the fourth category of Spanish football. In the round of 16 there will also be a CF Intercity-FC Barcelona match, and Atlético will visit Real Oviedo from LaLiga Smartbank.
The draw also provided the matches La Nucia-Valencia, Logroñés-Real Sociedad, Eldense-Athletic, Linares-Sevilla and Cartagena-Villarreal, with 'First' teams as protagonists. In addition, there will be a single match between a LaLiga Santander team between Espanyol and Celta.
