Almost 120 countries commit at COP28 to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030

A total of 117 countries have committed to tripling global renewable energy capacity by 2030, the United Arab Emirates announced this Saturday as host of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP28, which is being held in Dubai.

The signatory countries will "work together" to increase global renewable energy generation capacity to at least 11,000 gigawatts by the end of this decade, according to the statement reported by the Al Arabiya network.
